Follow federal money from request to award.
teleon.dev/docs/govcontracts follows federal money from SAM.gov requests to USASpending awards, and traces SBIR lineage from Phase I to Phase III.
| Stage | Recipient | Amount | Date |
|---|---|---|---|
| SBIR Phase I | Meridian Sensors Inc | $150,000 | 2023-04 |
| SBIR Phase II | Meridian Sensors Inc | $1,100,000 | 2024-09 |
| SBIR Phase III | Meridian Sensors Inc | $8,400,000 | 2026-10 |
| Open request | SAM.gov notice | Follow-on work | Due Dec 1 |
Each award links to the one before it, from a Phase I study to a Phase III contract, and a matching SAM.gov request shows what may come next.
What it does
Requests to awards
SAM.gov requests link to the USASpending awards that answer them.
SBIR lineage
Phase I, Phase II and Phase III awards chain together for each small business.
Recipients resolved
Each recipient joins the S101 hierarchy, so awards roll up to the parent company.
The contract
An award names its recipient, program, amount and lineage, with the SAM.gov or USASpending record, license and read time behind it.
S110, added in v32.0govcontracts.awardgovcontracts.sbir_lineage

Words on this page
- SBIR
- Small Business Innovation Research: US federal funding for small firms in phases, from Phase I feasibility awards to Phase III follow-on contracts.
- Change cursor
- A position in a feed's change stream. A reader sends the last cursor it saw and gets every change after it, in order.
- Read time
- When Teleon fetched a record from its source. It sits beside the source's own dates, so readers can judge how fresh each record is.
- Record license
- The terms that came with a record from its source, stored on the record itself so every reader sees them.
